Long time no see, here are the updates from me.
It's been a long time since I've been inactive here. There have been some changes in my business life during the days I was not here.
In this episode, I’ll dive into these updates.
In early 2021, I joined Paysend to spearhead the launch of a cryptocurrency product. Over the course of my 1.5 years, we successfully went live and introduced the minimum viable product (MVP) of our crypto investment offering in pilot countries across the EMEA region. We diligently worked on further enhancing the product during this period.
I have provided the details about this experience on my website, which you can access through the button below.
As the crypto team, we landed on a new venture in collaboration with Paysend to establish a company focused on the development of both crypto-centric and non-crypto fintech solutions. This decision was made in alignment with the business strategy of Paysend.
Under the umbrella of HiakaLabs, positioned as a Venture Studio, we will continue to advance the crypto product initially developed at Paysend, while simultaneously exploring the creation of diverse fintech products.
Creating new brands for the company and our first product was my initial focus.
During this period, I have been continuously contemplating and establishing the branding of Made by Batu® as it evolves into a design strategy studio. Although I refer to it as a studio, my intention is not to expand it into a large collective design studio. At least, that is my short-term objective.
I find the freelance working principle to be somewhat limiting, as it often only covers specific phases of the product design process. Therefore, I believe that forging long-term collaborations with companies, regardless of full-time employment, can yield more productive outcomes.

Figma Plugin for designers who working async with their team
With the integration of remote work into our lives, the significance of asynchronous working culture has grown considerably. This is particularly true in the design process, where abundant iterations and the ability to work asynchronously during critical stages can greatly enhance efficiency.
In managing this process, various tools and products have emerged to facilitate asynchronous work. Typically, we rely on products that enable us to capture screen recordings to showcase design flows while sharing our designs. However, I would like to introduce a Figma plugin that streamlines this process by allowing us to prototype and demonstrate our prepared flows from a bird's-eye view to stakeholders.
This plugin enhances collaboration and communication by providing stakeholders with a comprehensive view of the design process. It simplifies the demonstration of design flows, enabling more effective feedback and discussions with stakeholders.
With the Figma Walkthrough widget, you can give your stakeholders an interactive tour without being there yourself. You can use it to introduce file content, explain a complex flow, or anything else!
That's all for this week. See you in the next episodes, Stay healthy!
